Our School Day
Our day starts at 8.50am when the whistle blows for us to line up in the playground, ready to go into class. (If it's raining, we go in a little earlier!). Registration is at 9am, when we also decide what to have for lunch.
Lessons are from 9am to 10.30am, when we all gather together in the hall for service. Sometimes these are led by Mr Fletcher or Mrs Hopton or our teachers. On other days, the Open the Book team tell us a Bible story, and every other week we see Fr Nick, Fr Robert, or Rev Howard and Elizabeth.
We have breaktime from 10.45am to 11am, then more exciting lessons and learning until lunch at 12 noon. There are two lunch sittings, so we play either before or after we have eaten our meal in the hall.
Back into school at 1pm for our timetabled lessons until 3.10pm when we line up ready to be collected to go home. For some of us, mums or dads can't collect us until later, so we go into Kids Club for fun, games and tea!

The Juniors' school day begins with the sound of the whistle at 8.40am. As registration is taken, the children will already be working on maths and grammar questions as well as reading. During this time, children also choose their lunch from the menu.
Lessons are from 9am to 10.30am, with break time from 10.30am - 10.45am. Lessons then continue until 12.15pm when children have their lunch. There are four sittings for hot lunch and sandwich lunches are either eaten outside or in classrooms. Once the children have eaten, it's playtime. The Lunchtime Supervisors organise a range of games for the children to play. The lower playground is our quiet area, where children can relax, chat and read. The top playground is for running around and joining in the many games on offer. There is also a range of equipment for the children to choose from.
At 1.10pm, the children line up ready for our school service. This might be led by the Senior Leadership Team, a member of staff, a member of the Clergy or our Open The Book team. After Service, afternoon lessons begin at 1.30pm and finish at 3pm. The children then look forward to their 'class reader', when the class teacher reads to the whole class. At 3.15pm, the class teacher takes the children to the top playground where parents can pick their children up. Kids Club is available for children after school (and before school too).
