For the conclusion of a work on the plastic problem, the mayor of Cheltenham came to Prestbury to judge the children’s projects. The mayor was particular impressed with the children’s research and knowledge on the problem and how they had conveyed that information in such eye-catching fashion!

As part of their work in investigating plastic usage, Y5 were visited by recycling experts from Ubico, who are the company in charge of all of Cheltenham’s waste and recycling. There were several fascinating revelations, including the amount of plastic collected in Cheltenham each year and that recycled glass actually helps make our roads!

Y5 Talent Show - out of this world!

The children in year 5 put on a fantastic show displaying a vast array of acts for the Talent Show. From comedy to dance, hula hooping to football skills, the incredible abilities were never ending!

Y5 visit to We The Curious @Bristol

Y5 had an amazing visit to We The Curious. We visited the planets in a 3D show, a forces workshop (which included making a catapult) and had lots of fun exploring all that this amazing place has to offer.

Winchcombe School offered an after school Science Club to our Y5 pupils and 4 pupils now attend this fun and exciting club!
